Beginner Adult Strings

Hannah Soren, Instructor

Starts January 29, 2026
Thursdays, 7:00-8:00pm (12 sessions)

Adult String Ensemble is for beginning to early intermediate string players (ages 16+). This ensemble is for anyone learning a string instrument and wanting to expand their playing environment, sharpen listening skills, and improve note reading. Playing with others is a rewarding and fun part of learning an instrument– it’s not just for the advanced players! We’ll work through simple arrangements for string ensemble while focusing on technique, tone, intonation, rhythm, and ensemble playing.

***Participants will need to order themselves the following material: Essential Elements for Strings (Book 1) for your instrument: Violin, Viola, Cello, or Double Bass.

Prerequisites:
-Some lessons or previous experience playing your instrument (even if it was minimal or a long time ago)
-Some knowledge of note reading
-Your own instrument
