Classes for Babies and Toddlers

At Opus our Mini-Music classes are thoughtfully designed to support early development through music, movement, and imaginative play. Rooted in developmentally appropriate practice and inspired by Kodály, Orff, and Montessori principles, each class nurtures creativity, confidence, and a love of learning while building foundational skills that grow with your child.
Baby Music Makers
Age: 0–2 with caregiver
9:00-9:45am, Fridays or Saturdays (10 sessions)
A gentle, sensory-rich “Parent & Me” class introducing infants and toddlers to rhythm, music, and expressive movement. With playful singing, guided movement, and age-appropriate instruments, children explore sound and coordination while building language, bonding, and early motor skills in a joyful shared space.
10 sessions: $275 (scholarships available)

Toddler Music Makers
Age: 2–3 (drop-off optional)
10:15-11:00am, Fridays or Saturdays (10 sessions)
A friendly bridge between open-ended play and early music learning. Children explore rhythm, pitch, and steady beat through echo songs, movement games, and simple solfège. This class gently prepares students for Pre-Musicianship while encouraging creativity, independence, and ensemble readiness.

Pre-School Music Makers
Age: 3–5 (drop-off optional)
11:30am-12:15pm (10 sessions)
A playful introduction to music literacy and ensemble skills. Students build rhythm and pitch fluency through clapping, stepping, echo singing, and child-friendly instruments. With pre-reading activities, Curwen hand signs, and solfège (Do–So), children gain confidence in music fundamentals, preparing for future Musicianship classes.

Class Refund Policy
Classes should be paid in full at the time of registration. If a student needs to withdraw from a class, a partial refund may be issued within 2 weeks of the first class date.
