WHO/WHAT:

Opus One Strings will be a music ensemble designed to be an entry point for adults who want to learn to play a stringed instrument (violin, viola, cello, bass) or for those who have played in the past but haven’t picked up their instrument in a number of years. Beginning technique and repertoire will be learned weekly.

Cost: $175. Scholarships available (contact info@opusithaca.org for more information)

No experience is necessary.

WHERE/WHEN:

In the Fall and Spring Opus One Strings will meet once a week in person for one hour. TIME: Thursdays, 7-8PM. The location will be at Opus School of Music.

INSTRUMENT/MUSIC AVAILABILITY:

Each student will provide their own instrument. For those who do not own an instrument, rentals are available at Hickey’s Music Store in Ithaca as well as several reputable string instrument supply houses online. Music will be provided.
