Dorothy Preston has been enjoying playing the piano since she was 8 years old. She studied piano and music theory at The Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto before completing both a Bachelor of Music and Master of Music in music education from Ithaca College. Over the years she has taught private piano lessons to children and adults. She recently retired from a 36 year career teaching elementary vocal music in the Ithaca City School District. She is the Director of St. Paul’s Festival Chimes, the handbell choir of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Ithaca. She is active in the community as a piano accompanist.
