Annual Concert for the Community

This Spring’s Concert for the Community is:

The Sorcerer’s Apprentice

by Paul Dukas

Join us on Saturday, February 29 at 2pm as Opus Ithaca presents Paul Dukas’ The Sorcerer’s Apprentice. This kid-friendly performance of Paul Dukas’ The Sorcerer’s Apprentice tells the story of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe’s famous ballad.

This event is free and open to the entire community. Our concert will also include music from favorites such as Harry Potter and Peer Gynt. This magical concert will take place in the Main Sanctuary of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church (402 North Aurora Street, Ithaca, NY).

The ensemble, featuring musicians from the faculties of Opus Ithaca, Ithaca College, Cornell University, and the Cayuga Chamber Orchestra, will be conducted by Opus Ithaca’s own Madeline Schatz-Harris. First time concert-goers are welcome!
