Jeanette (Davis) Ostrander is a faculty member at The Ithaca College School of Music where she works in the music theory and secondary piano departments. She holds a Master of Music degree in piano performance from the Cleveland Institute of Music where she taught in the music theory department for twenty-two years.
From Le Raysville, PA, she began her piano studies at the age of three with the late Anne Vanko Liva of Scranton, PA. While at the Cleveland Institute of Music, she studied with Dr. Thomas Hecht, Paul Schenly, Sandra Shapiro, and Dr. Marshall Griffith. In 1997, Jeanette and her husband, Leonard Ostrander, were awarded second prize in the National Ellis Duo Piano Competition.
Jeanette is an active member of the American Guild of Organists and obtained her colleague certificate from the AGO in 2006 and the performance portion of the Associate certificate in 2014.
Jeanette is presently a faculty member at Opus Ithaca where she teaches piano and is also a member of the Anglican Association of Church Musicians.
