Emily Goldman is a music director, writer, composer, and teaching artist based in NYC and Ithaca. She studied piano performance with Xak Bjerken at Cornell and Read Gainsford at Ithaca College, and she holds an MFA from NYU’s Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program. Her work has been featured at the Hangar Theatre, Barrington Stage, New Dramatists, 54 Below, the Aspen Music Festival, and many other venues. She is a MacDowell Fellow in Literature, as well as a Johnny Mercer Songwriting Fellow, and a participant in the Goodspeed Musical Theatre Writers’ Colony. She is on the faculty of the Performing Arts Project, and has taught classes and workshops at Texas State University, Cornell University, and Ithaca College.
