Music at the Movies
We will play musical games in an atmosphere of “there’s no such thing as a mistake.” Creative Ability Development cultivates the creative part of the brain. We will play guessing games, musical soccer, create rhythm machines and compose our own music. On Friday, we will perform a freely improvised musical soundtrack to a silent movie!
Dates: August 7-11, 9:00AM-12:00PM
For musicians ages 8-12 who play piano, violin, viola, cello, bass and flute with at least 1 year private lesson experience.
Dr. Sera Smolen and Jessica Caporizzo will be leading this Creative Ability Development and Musical Improvisation camp at the Opus Ithaca School of Music.
We will have a break for supervised outdoor playing and snacks. Please bring your musical instrument (pianos are at Opus).
